Success for FoGMS Band Night

FoGMS hosted a Band Night on Saturday 15th October, raising more than £1000 for Great Marlow School. The event which attracted 100 people, took place in the school’s main hall, with two local bands performing excellent sets.

The Stormflies were first up, playing primarily USA rock classics by the likes of Bruce Springsteen and Green Day; they were followed by The Echo and their own brand of Brit Pop including covers of songs by Blur, Oasis, the Kaiser Chiefs and more.

After a brief break, both bands came back on stage for second sets, finishing the night with a joint performance of Robbie Williams’ classic “Let me entertain you”.

It was a very successful evening, raising valuable funds for the school. The bar was drunk dry of Rebellion, and the FoGMS team ensured that the beer and wine was kept chilled by deploying a roll top bath filled with ice!

  

FoGMS next big event is the Christmas Market scheduled to take place on Wednesday 23rd November, between 6pm and 8.30pm. We do hope you can join us for this popular event.
