This year’s athletics season has been another successful one for GMS, with fantastic team and individual performances.
The most notable team result so far came from the Year 8 boys, who finished 3rd at the District Championships, but as the 1st placed secondary upper school, only being beaten by the Royal Grammar School and John Hampden Grammar School.
The Year 7 and 8 girls, unfortunately, just missed out on a place in the top three, but also finished the day as the highest placed secondary upper schools, which is an excellent achievement.

District League
The district league competition is where GMS have fared the best this year, with no team finishing lower than third place. The Year 8 girls put in some great individual performances to finish top of the league, while the Year 8 boys remained consistent with a 3rd place finish.
Both Year 7 teams are yet to finish their leagues, but are sitting well at the half way point with the girls in 1st place and the boys in 3rd.
