Yr 7 Rowing

Great Marlow School Boat Club in conjunction with the PE Department are offering after school rowing to all Year 7 students at Longridge Outdoor Activity Centre.

Sessions are on a Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday and will commence on Tuesday 15th June. Students will leave school at 3.15pm by minibus and will return to school by 5:30pm.

ALL Year 7 rowers are welcome.

Attire is the GMS PE kit, with a warm base layer if the weather is cold and sun cream and hats, if hot. Waterproofs are advisable (jackets and shoes). A drink and snack essential.

Once Covid rules allow, all rowers will have to take a British Rowing approved swim and capsize test, in the meantime, every child will need to wear a buoyancy aid.

Please be aware that for rowing on the river to take place there has to be no Environment Agency river warnings, which are issued close to the time.
