The Geography Department took 140 Year 9 students to Windsor on Thursday 7th April for their Year 9 field trip. It was a jam-packed day. The students explored the proposition that ‘the global status of Windsor only positively impacts the town.’ The students explored various sites around Windsor, including Eton Bridge, Windsor Castle, the train station, and the town centre itself.
The students took part in non-participant observations, pedestrian counts and environmental quality surveys: they enjoyed taking their geographical knowledge to the real world beyond the classroom. Throughout their behaviour was excellent; they were professional and mature.
Although it was a dry day it was cold and windy. The students ploughed on regardless and collected all the required data. Well done to the Geog Squad and all the Year 9 students who came on the trip.
The website thanks Mrs Messager for this write-up. Many thanks to the Geography Department for organising this successful learning day.
