Growing up, post-war in the East End was ‘an experience’. The focus of this evening’s entertainment is Jeff Rozelaar bringing to life his book ‘Bagels and Bacon’, which is a rites of passage story based on his early years.

Jeff is a BA Hons History Graduate with over 57 years’ experience as a teacher from private schools to ‘prison’ schools. He is still teaching. Since March 2011 he has been happily employed at Great Marlow School, where he is part of a programme of one-to-one teaching supporting students in English.

Since the publication of his book, “Bagels and Bacon” by the History Press in 2011, he has developed a career as a speaker for various organisations in the Home Counties and in recent years as a speaker on cruise ships including on the Cunard fleet.

The evening promises to be fantastic; Jeff gives a vivid account of growing up with passion, and peppered with cockney and Jewish humour. The captivating anecdotes are both poignant and entertaining.
