The librarians have secured a visit from a memorable author Chris Bradford on November 25th.
His books are written for young people from aged 11 upwards, so he is perfect for our KS3 students.
The aim of the event is to create enthusiasm and excitement for books and encourage reading for pleasure.
The visit promises to enlighten, as well as entertain, students about different cultures and give an insight into the creative writing process.
Chris Bradford’s, ‘The Young Samurai’ series has been voted one of the best set of books for children by Puffin. In his presentation, the author discusses the skills required to become a samurai warrior, including the etiquettes of Japanese culture and the importance of samurai to their culture.
Both Year 7 and Year 8 will hear him speak, which is truly an exciting prospect.
