GMS are pleased to announce that three further festive events are due to take place before the end of term.
Christmas Music Concert – Wednesday 17th December
On Wednesday 17th December, students from all year groups will be performing in a variety of ensembles and solo performances. The concert will take place in the main hall at 7.00 pm. Tickets are available via Wisepay, and refreshments will be available on the evening.
Christmas Dinner – Thursday 18th December
On Thursday 18th December, the canteen will be serving a Christmas dinner, including vegetarian and vegan alternatives. The cost is £3.00, and students will pay in the normal way on the day. To help us order appropriate quantities of sausages wrapped in bacon and stuffing, please complete the Microsoft Form by 3.00 pm on Tuesday 16th December if your child is likely to have a Christmas dinner on this day. The Christmas dinner option will be the only main meal available, with festive grab-and-go options offered as alternatives.
Non-Uniform Day – Friday 19th December
Friday 19th December (the last day of term) will be a non-uniform day. We kindly ask that students bring a donation for One Can Trust to support families facing challenging circumstances. One Can Trust will have already organised and distributed many of their Christmas packages by this date, so this collection will help rebuild their stocks for January. Where possible, we ask year groups to contribute the following items:
- Year 7 → Dry food and canned fruit
- Year 8 → Toiletries and baby products (eg soap, toothpaste)
- Year 9 → Canned food, sauces and snacks
- Year 10 → Cereals and carbohydrates (grains, pasta, rice, etc)
- Year 11 and Sixth Form → Long-life products and puddings
Please note that the school term will end at 12.30 pm on Friday 19th December.
We would like to take this opportunity to wish all our families and community a very Merry Christmas and a restful, enjoyable break. We look forward to welcoming students back to school on Monday 5th January 2026.
