A GMS Year 9 student has become the Judo 66kg Pre-Cadet Champion.
In Northern Ireland, last weekend, Josh Urie took on his 40+ opponents in the Pre-Cadet category and won in a decisive style: he won all his fights to become the -66kg Pre Cadet champion.
The strapline for this organisation is, ‘courage, respect, modesty, friendship, honour, honesty, self-control and courtesy’, traits that the young people involved in this sport adhere to.
GMS agrees with Josh’s form teacher who wrote, ‘This is super news! He really is going from strength to strength and experiencing so much success, it’s just fantastic!’
GMS congratulates Josh and looks forward to hearing about his next competition.
