GMS loves to hear about students who have graduated from our school and go on to be successful in many different disciplines. Millie, who left GMS in 2024 with super high grades: A* in Law, A* in Psychology and A in Biology is now having a different kind of success in the USA as a member of the Texas Tech Soccer team.
In the ‘BIG 12 SOCCER’ league, in a game between Texas and Oklahoma, Millie scores the 4th goal, putting Texas firmly in the lead. The commentator is hugely enthusiastic when commentating, “Elwood striding for it, Millie Elwood – GOAL Red Raiders … her first goal of her Red Raider career.” In the replay he says, “Once she anticipates, here she cuts through the pass, keeps calm, just a beauty … look at the emotion, the young lady from England [goal in the] back of the net.”
