Mums’ Netball Tournament

The tournament was a great success: eight teams of mums, from the local school, competed for the coveted Shield and Plate trophies.

The sun shone and the atmosphere was friendly. Newlands’ Mums walked away victorious with the Shield. Cookham Dean’s mums took home the Plate.

Well done to all for taking part – some of whom have not played netball EVER before and some not since they were 11 years old so all in all it was quite an achievement for many.

A huge thank you is sent to Jenny Towe, Julie Lyons and their team of helpers, for all their hard work in organising the netball. A huge thank you also goes to FoGMS for organising the much needed refreshments on the day. The total raised for the school will be announced very soon.
