Congratulations to the Young Enterprise ‘Gift A Box’ team, who were awarded second place in the Financial Award category, earning an additional cash prize.
The Year 12 students represented the school at the end of last term after working extremely hard, with great resilience, to build their business idea into a profitable company.
The members of the “Gift A Box” team were Musa, Laiba, Freya, Lewis, Daniel, Charlie, Adam and Rae. GMS is delighted they have succeeded in securing second place in a hugely competitive competition.
GMS thanks Mrs Marisa Broadbent, Centre Lead for Young Enterprise for guiding the students to such a successful outcome. She writes, “I want to thank all the staff who have supported and helped GMS’s Young Enterprise for both the ‘in school’ and ‘out of school’ events this year.
I would also like to give a big thank you to Helen Robinson for her commitment in mentoring and supporting the teams – she has been an valuable asset in helping the students build their presentations, developing their products, as well as offering them fantastic expertise and advice when needed.”
