UCAS Information Evening 8th July

Going to university is a step many GMS students choose to take after A-levels. This term the 6th form team have organised and extend an invitation to a UCAS Information Evening on Monday 8th July, in the school hall from from 6pm until 7pm.
During the day, all students in Year 12 will take part in a compulsory Next Steps Day, where they will begin to
consider the path they wish to pursue after their time at Great Marlow School. The day has been organised into different sessions, including UCAS/ University Applications, Student Life and Apprenticeships. There are a number of guest speakers, who will address the students and encourage them to begin preparing for their future. In addition, students will be given the opportunity to access UCAS to begin their university applications and personal statements.
The purpose of this important evening is to inform parents, carers and students about the university application process and address questions or queries. It offers the opportunity to understand every stage of the application process before September.
Although the evening is not compulsory for students, they are welcome; there is a belief that sharing the information will help in making decisions later.
GMS asks that an email is sent to cmurray@gms.bucks.sch.uk, indicating how many family members will attend, this will help with seating arrangements.
GMS hopes many people can attend and looks forward to seeing you.
