GCSE Congratulations

Year 11, who have just received their GCSE results, are congratulated by Headteacher, Mr Ford.

“Huge congratulations go to all students on their GCSE results, published on Thursday 12th August. These excellent outcomes are awarded to a cohort that has to be admired, for facing 18 months of unprecedented challenges with fortitude. The processes implemented, to ensure all grades were transparent, rigorous and fair, have resulted in students being awarded grades they can be proud of.

My staff and I wish every student success in the next stage of their life. I am delighted that a huge number have chosen to return to the Sixth Form at GMS, but I’m equally pleased that other students have made decisions that best fit their post-16 ambitions: by taking up places at colleges, on apprenticeship schemes, or by securing employment.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the staff at GMS, as these results are a testament to their dedication, hard work and integrity.

Finally, the achievement of this cohort of students has been achieved through a partnership between the school, the students, and their parents/ carers, so I would like to thank all the parents/ carers of this cohort for the vital role they have played in securing these results.”
