GMS celebrates the fact that Marlow FM studio is located on the school site. Since they have been located on the doorstep, deeper community links have been being fostered.
One of the ways this is being achieved is by having school staff and students on the Breakfast Show every Wednesday morning. The presenter Jonny Ratner invites discussion about departments and events being organised.
This academic year, representatives from the Drama Department, Music Department, English Department, RS Department, Media Department, Maths Department, Business Department, SEN Department and the Library have been on-air. Many thanks to Lisa Ben Haj Ali, Stuart Ross, Catherine Legerton, Graham Pightling, Darren Sacre, Michelle Guy, Marisa Broadbent, Andrea Black and Jenny Sharp for making a difference on-air.
Also involved have been some students: Year 8 & Year 10 for Drama, Year 7 & Year 10 for Young Enterprise, and Year 11 for Citizenship: well done to all who put themselves forward to speak on the radio.
