Year 7 Trip to Stratford Upon Avon

Following the success of the trip to The Globe last year, the English department decided to take a group of year 7 pupils to Stratford upon Avon, Shakespeare’s birthplace. The pupils took part in an active and educational workshop on the famous tragedy ‘Macbeth’.

The ‘practioners’ who ran the workshops ensured that all pupils were involved in the activities that included role plays, group work, voice intonation and much more. By the end of the day, pupils had explored a wide range of themes and characters allowing all pupils to actively learn about the play and about Shakespeare. We will plan more trips next year, in order to enrich the curriculum of our pupils.
