House Captain

Eagles, Hawks and Kites are appointing House Captains after the half-term break. Following an assembly last week the House Leads: Miss Addy for Kites, Mr Pightling for Hawks and Mr Bradley for Eagles have launched a new opportunity for students in Years 9 and 10 to develop their ‘my personal best’ 6 Rs and take on a leadership role within the school: Captain of their House.

The role is enormously important as it has embedded duties like promoting their House, and developing its identity. Co-delivering House Competitions and assemblies. On a wider spectrum, House Captains will support wider whole-school events such as Year 6 Induction Day and be a positive role model for students across the year groups within their House. Students are invited to apply in writing; applications are open until Friday 17^th February and have been e-mailed to all students.

Looking to the future, this is a great opportunity to show commitment and leadership on a CV. GMS do all they can to promote opportunities where our students can shine.
