The marvellous Year 13 Prom was a fashionable affair. Gathered together for the last time, all the Year 13s celebrated the end of their education at Great Marlow. Some of these young people have been together for seven years. As they all move on to the next stage of their lives, GMS wishes them all the very best.

The Prom was held at Haslemere Golf Club on 21st June. Alongside music led by a DJ and food, there was a photobooth, which was a great deal of fun.

Mr Hollyman, Director of Learning Sixth Form, writes, “Mrs Rooney took photos of every student as they arrived. If you have a chance to look at them on the website, I am sure you will be impressed with how fantastic everyone looks. If you look carefully, you will see Joseph Legerton in his chosen outfit for the night: a full suit of armour!

Unfortunately, several students were unable to attend as they had tickets to see Taylor Swift at Wembley. We hope that they had a great time and didn’t miss our ‘Wonderland’ too much. Luckily, we all saw ‘Sparks Fly’ when George Brooks did an almost in-tune version of ‘Angels’ by Robbie Williams.

The teachers were all impressed with the dance moves that were being exhibited during the evening. Lily Mitchell, Holly Eyles and Tori Mann ditched their high heels early on and cut some serious rug in their bare feet. Max Arnold wowed with his snake hips and everyone gathered together for the final song in a huge scrum that would have made even the Swifties nod in approval.”
