School Nursing Team

Every school aged child in Buckinghamshire has access to the school nursing team. Specialist community public health nurses (school nurses) lead the team, which is comprised of registered nurses, health assistants, as well as child health and wellbeing assistants. These professionals support young people with health-related issues such as sleep, healthy lifestyles and emotional health. There are numerous ways to access their help: via telephone, video call, a face-to-face meeting in school, at home or in a clinic.

To make an appointment see GMS’s school nurse or talk to a member of staff at school. Referrals can be made by school, parents, carers or other professionals.
