GMS Musicians end the year on a high!

On Wednesday 3^rd July, the Music Department gave its final concert of the year in the Sixth Form Centre. The concert featured all ensembles, as well as outstanding soloists, including Chamber Choir, Jazz Band, Rock and Pop Bands, Show Choir, String Ensemble, Wind Band, Wind Quintet and Soloists Miles, Hannah, Lily and Matthew. With such a variety of ensembles, the programme on offer was very diverse in terms of technical skill and style and ranged from 21^st Century pop song right back to 13^th Century polyphony. The students performed to a sell-out audience and ended the academic year superbly.

The bands and soloists of Great Marlow School have been very busy in the final weeks of the Summer Term. Hugo, Elia, Paul, performed brilliantly at the Celebration of Success evening, with a special mention to Isobel and Grace for their outstanding solos. And finally, the Music Department were delighted to team up with the P.E. Department for the Sports Awards evening. A special mention to the following bands, who performed superbly all evening: Hugo, Elia, and Paul, and Grace H, Grace P, Amelie, and Paul.
