Mr Nash Awards First Vivos to Year 7s

Last Friday afternoon two hesitant Year 7 girls made their way to the headteacher’s office. They had been summoned to see Mr Nash and wondered why.

The girls were in for a reward: they had been nominated for the prestigious Headteacher’s Vivo Award by their PE teacher, Miss Haynes.

Tayla Wallace and Daisy Pritchard impressed Miss Haynes with their willingness to take charge and actively teach netball passing skills to a group of their peers in a lesson. Mr Nash complimented them on their confidence, their independent learning and their active engagement in a lesson in their first full week in a new school.

Needless to say, the pupils left the Headteacher’s office brimming with pride. They are the first Year 7 recipients of this award and Mr Nash hopes their story will inspire other pupils this academic year.
