Textiles at Shepherd’s Bush Market

On the 6th November, the Year 13 textiles group travelled to the famous Shepherd’s Bush Market to buy fabric. Many hours in the classroom and at home were spent designing creations for their coursework, the next step was sourcing the material that best promoted their unique designs. Shepherd’s Bush Market proved to be a great place for fabric purchase.

It is a market that has thrived for more than a century. Today it sells produce to a multi-cultural society. The market has two parallel aisles, on each aisle there were stalls selling a fabulous range of fabric on the roll. The muli-cultural nature of the market means that the fabric on show was an exciting  alternative to the high street shops.

All-in-all it was successful day because every student returned with unique fabric for their creation. Miss Agbozo is confident the outcomes are going to be amazing.
