Bucks New University

On Wednesday 5^th November, the Extended Project Qualification A-level class visited Bucks New University.  This was a fantastic opportunity for the class to visit a university library and to access degree level material to utilise in their extended projects.

The day started with a tour of the campus and a highly informative and interesting talk about university life.  The students received packs, specially prepared for the class, which covered all aspects of what their options are after finishing their A-levels.  Our university ambassador, then took the class to the library, which is comprised of five floors of materials.  An integral part of the extended project is research, so to be able to access a wide range of information on their chosen topics was extremely beneficial to all the students.  The class analysed journals, magazines and books over the two hours and left the university with armfuls of photocopied material.

It was a highly engaging and rewarding trip and the school must thank BNU for all of their support for the class and their extended projects.
