GMS Careers day – a great success!

The Careers Fair which took place at Great Marlow School on Friday 30th January was a great success. Years 9 through to 13 were given the opportunity to visit the Hall and speak to representatives from over 20 different companies, colleges and apprenticeship providers.

Students, armed with questions written to ask specific stallholders, invaded the hall and spent thirty minutes visiting the careers they had targeted. Many students were unsure who to visit but, after some direction and persuasion from the their teachers, grew in confidence and found out some really valuable information.

Many of the stalls were attractive because of the free pens and sweets that they had brought, but all of the visitors commented on the sensible, mature questions that they were asked. The behaviour and positive attitude of the students is to be commended.
