Media Oscars

On Monday June 22nd, the Media Department held its annual Oscars ceremony at Empire Cinemas in High Wycombe. The event was hosted by Darren Sacre, Head of Media, and Sophie Daglish. In front of an audience of over 90 students, parents and staff we screened all the Year 12 and 13 video projects from this year on a full-size cinema screen. Following the screenings, we presented awards in categories such as Best Camerawork, Best Editing and Best Direction. The overall quality of the work this year was superb – even better than previous years! Of particular note were the winners of our Best Film award in both year groups. Tyler Roberts was awarded the Oscar for Best Film in Year 12 for Narc, an excellent television opening in the crime genre. Jake Hunter and Olivia Blair were awarded the Oscar for Best Film in Year 13 for their superb and moving short film, Alison. We are tremendously proud of the hard work put in by all our students and would like to thank all who attended and supported the event.
