GMS’s New Senior Prefects

Published 25 September, 2024

During the final weeks of the last summer term, Year 12 students applied for a position on the Senior Prefect Team.

From the applications, several students were asked to attend an interview for the roles of Head Prefects. Mr Hollyman and Miss Jones were impressed with the thoroughness of preparation, confidence and leadership qualities of all the applicants in the professionally conducted interview process.

Although it was a challenge to select the Head Prefects from a strong field, it was decided to appoint Ansty van Romburgh and Arran Bligh to the role, with Tilly Hanson, Charlotte Haddock, Theo Papaioannou and Oliver Braid as their deputies. Congratulations must go to all students who applied for the role.

The Senior Prefect Team was also assembled and comprises of nearly thirty students: each wrote a letter of application. The students have already contributed to a very successful Open Evening and will continue to play a role in supporting students throughout the school, attending formal events, running 6th Form events and representing the school community. We are very lucky to have a group of students who will be able to develop their leadership, responsibility and communication skills to benefit the school and prepare them for life at university, apprenticeships or the world of work.
