The Music Department was delighted to welcome WaterBear, for an engaging and insightful seminar focused on Careers in the Music Industry.
Year 9 to Year 11 were offered a fascinating look into how the modern music industry operates, and how it has evolved technologically and culturally.
The session explored career opportunities including performance, production, marketing and management.
The experienced presenter shared his personal experiences, giving students a valuable perspective on what it takes to build a successful career in such a dynamic field.
In addition, to interactive discussions and class exercises, students had the opportunity to ask questions in a dedicated Q&A segment, which sparked thoughtful conversation around the challenges and rewards of working in the industry.
Each student also received a tote bag filled with WaterBear merchandise, including guitar picks, pens, badges, and a prospectus — a great way to continue exploring future pathways after the event.
We are grateful to WaterBear for offering such a valuable experience to our students. The seminar not only expanded their understanding of the music industry, but also inspired many to think more seriously about pursuing music and creative industries beyond school.
