Summer Half Term

Published 27 May, 2026

Summer half term, begins on Monday 23rd May 2026; the final half-term of this academic year begins on Monday 1st June.

All students in Year 7, Year 8, Year 9, Year 10 and Year 12 must be punctual for registration at 8.25 am. Year 11 and Year 13 students will sign in using the QR codes in the A frames in the quad area.

For students in Year 11, lessons in subjects where exams have not yet finished will continue to run; other lessons, where all exams in that subject have been taken, are not timetabled. If a student would like to study at school rather than at home, they may go to the room where their normal timetabled lesson would be. If a student is in school but does not have a timetabled lesson, they may work in the canteen. Students must not to wander around the school site and must remember to sign in and out during the remainder of this study leave period until the GCSE exams conclude.

The weather is expected to be hot and GMS has sent out a Water Safety letter to remind our community that swimming in the Thames can be treacherous. We wish everyone to stay safe and well.
