On Friday, 28th February, the Media Department took a large group of our Year12 A-level and BTEC Media students to the Pinewood Futures Festival.
Mr Sacre reports on a memorable day out.
‘This was a Careers Festival, hosted at Pinewood Studios, that provided fantastic opportunities for our students to learn about and investigate different career options within the various media industries.
It was also great fun to see a real, working film studio with such a legacy in the industry and the students enjoyed being able to interact with characters from various famous film franchises, including Star Wars and Marvel! It is our hope that this event will inspire our students to think about the wide range of careers, both in and related to the media, that they could pursue beyond Sixth Form.
A great event that we definitely intend to revisit next year!’
