At Great Marlow School, we are once again delighted with the fantastic results achieved by our Year 13 students. They should all be incredibly proud of their two years’ dedicated work that has spring-boarded them into the next stage of their lives. A total of 130 students were entered for Level 3 qualifications, with an impressive 30% of all grades awarded at A* to B and 60.5% at Grades A*-C.
Owen Hollyman, Assistant Headteacher and Head of Sixth Form, said, ‘It gives me immense pleasure, and a huge sense of pride, to see the successful fruition of the students’ studies at KS5. Our students set themselves high personal goals in terms of their grades, so it is wonderful to see so many of them accepting offers from such a wide range of institutions including Russell Group destinations and Oxford University. With the strong results that the Year 13 students have attained, the vast majority have accepted their first-choice university destinations and offers of apprenticeships or employment.’
Guy Pendlebury, Headteacher, said, ‘ As a school we are incredibly proud of our Year 13 students this year who have attained such a fabulous set of results. Our students continue to have ambition and their resourcefulness and resilience have resulted in this set of outstanding results. In addition, we would like to take this opportunity to thank staff at the school for their endeavours and the parents and carers of the cohort for their consistent support of their children and the school community’.
