On Tuesday February 11th Great Marlow School held an exciting and informative Careers Fair.
Students in Years 9 to 13, who are considering their future options and career choices, had the opportunity to speak informally in person to a wide range of employers, both local and multinational as well as training providers, colleges and universities.
This kind of event is hugely important as it enables students to gain an understanding of the different routes and opportunities available and the skills that are needed to be successful in today’s economy.
The universities represented included University of Reading, Oxford Brookes University, Bucks New University, University of Bedfordshire, Buckingham University and Henley Business School.
Further education colleges were represented by Henley College, Buckinghamshire Colleges Group and Windsor Forest Colleges Group.
Employers of companies were selected to represent as wide a range of sectors as possible including representatives from Mars, Balfour Beatty, Invesco, Oxford Instruments, Align, Richardsons, Seymour Taylor, Heathrow, and British Airways.
Public services representatives included the Army, RAF, Thames Valley Police, NHS and the Home Office.
Feedback from exhibitors was overwhelmingly positive.

“The Sixth Form and Year 11s were great, actively engaged and well worth my time.” University of Reading
“A great event. The students were all well-mannered and keen to know more.” Central Training Group
Feedback from students showed gratitude and positivity.
