Senior Sports Awards Evening

Published 29 April, 2026

The GMS Senior Sports Awards, for Years 11-13, is to celebrate our first official season running our new 1st Team Project. It takes place on Saturday 9th May in Marlow Rugby Club.

The purpose of the project is to include all students in Years 11-13 in joint timetabled lessons. The result has been an opportunity to play the highest standard of sport the school could offer in rugby, netball and hockey – three of our core invasion games at GMS.

Students trained or played fixtures every Wednesday. Each respective team was entered into a 1st Team league and any national competition we could enter. The teams received new kit and adopted standards inline with professional teams (as much as we could).

There will be awards for players across the three teams, which includes Managers, Player and Players’ Player – in addition to this, we will be awarding the best KS5 Leaders from the school.

Doors will open at 6.45pm for a 7:00pm start until 11:15pm.

Students, friends and relatives are all welcome, we would love to see as many of you there as possible to celebrate our fantastic sporting achievements at senior level. Tickets are £20 each, which covers the cost of the venue, music and food (pizza). Tickets are available on WisePay, in the College Shop section.
