- Foster a deeper understanding of sustainability and the responsibility of everyone to enhance the longevity of the planet, and combat the damage of the past.
D&T Hospitality & Catering is a popular subject at KS4 because it allows students to work in a different environment and in a more professional way than some of the GCSE subjects. Students develop the knowledge and skills that can be applied to individual and team work.
Some analytical skills are cross curricular, meaning they can support the learning in other subjects. The department understands the need to embrace traditional hand skills alongside more modern technology.
The next steps for students who succeed in Hospitality & Catering includes studying in further education, enrol on an apprenticeship or take up work within the broad spectrum of food related opportunities, both in this country and abroad.
